Résumé:
Due to the lack of good risk management, many companies are unable to gauge the expected result by being surprised by eventualities (risks) or business disruption. In this sense, risk management in organizations becomes essential, so that the correct strategies can be defined, seeking to reduce the strength of these risks so that they do not affect business continuity. Therefore, this work aims to analyze the risks through the application of the FMEA methodology in sports betting. Through the application of this tool, it is sought to evaluate the risks of failures in the various operations involving the betting process, based on a careful identification of its critical points, in such a way as to contribute sharply and preventively to the improvement reliability of the system. Using the FMEA, it was possible to characterize fault modes in order of severity, occurrence and detection, as well as to identify actions to mitigate or even eliminate their risks. The research results showed that, in general, there is a lack of risk management practices in the company, but with the proposals and plans for improvement actions, it was possible to identify adjustments to the system and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed solutions, preventing risks and applying preventive or corrective actions to reduce or even eliminate the effects of failures.
