Resumo:
With the advancement of globalization and the constant growing market, the search for innovation and tools aiding the differentiation of business ventures is becoming an increasingly frequent concern for entrepreneurs. Through research for the conception of the study it was possible to notice that the absence of inventory management in micro and small companies is a failure considered "normal" in this type of enterprise. Faced with this factor, it was evident the need to expose the importance of effective inventory management so that companies remain competitive in the current market. This research was carried out in an enterprise of the supermarket sector, located in the city of Juazeirinho-PB. The main objective of the present study was to identify, with the assistance of quality tools, the most relevant problems that said company faced in relation to its inventory control, the data collection was performed through document analysis, on-site visits, and brainstorming. Thereafter proposing solutions and comparing the results of the data before the inventory control system effected with subsequent data, in order to prove that there is a positive financial impact when there is an effective inventory control within the company.
