Resumo:
The number of incarcerated women in Brazil has grown tremendously in recent years, due to an attendance of women in the criminal world. Based on this data, I tried to base my research addressing the unique and individual characteristics of convict women in Women's Prison Cajazeiras. Because it is a small space and adapted women, since this same space was dedicated to the male audience, I will briefly survey, concerning public policies, gender issues, human rights, sexuality, citizenship, on valid rights and especially those who remain only on paper. To better understand these issues, with some dialogue bibliographies dealing with the case in a more complex, and will use the descriptive method to address the issue. However, for these aspects could be evaluated, it was necessary data with a survey of the inmates of that place, to better chart the criminal profile, and history of each. The physical aspects of the Women's Prison System Cajazeiras, partnerships, treating both parties (agent and convict), and whether they contribute or not to the rehabilitation of prisoners were also evaluated.
