Homosexuality is a socially constructed gender identity, its construction goes back to the nineteenth century, in full Victorian era in England. Homosexuality was conceived as an abnormality, behavior al disease, pathological. Position themselves against homosexuality medical discourses, legal, social and natural. The objective of this work is to understand the continuity of such speeches against homosexuals in twentieth century, between 1978-1981, from the Lampião de Esquina journal. The journal Lampião de Esquina is a journal for minorities, especially homosexuals. In this journal the daily lives of homosexuals is revealed, placed in to speech. This routine was marked by prejudgment and violence and It will be analyzed here. It's necessary to pay attention to the fact that gender identities are socially constructed, they are multiple, but not natural. The Lampião de Esquina journal shared such visions in to his literary pages. Thus, we see emerge in the 1970s and 1980s, this periodical, that militated the exit of the homosexuals of the ghetto, and warned us that gender identity, sexuality, are formed from the relations of power.
