Resumo:
The diversity of social groups that are inserted in the geographical space brings with it distinct peculiarities that, in turn, characterize them around society. Thus, among the social groups, the presence of homeless people who are inserted in the urban space of the city and make the streets their place, their existential territory. The city of Cajazeiras-PB brings with it areas susceptible to occupation of homeless people and with this the research has as its main objective, to understand how the origin of the territorialization of homeless people happened and what are the reflexes of this dynamic in the central area of the city of. Cajazeiras. The research was conducted in a descriptive, documentary, qualitative, exploratory characterization with quantitative approach, considering that the research population consisted of the presence of 09 (nine) agents of the Diocesan Pastoral of Homeless and 21 (twenty-one) residents. that occupy the area under study. However, the research sample consists of 10 (ten) homeless people and 04 (four) agents of the Diocesan Pastoral, who were willing to participate in the research. The instrument used for the data collection process refers to a semi-structured interview, while data analysis occurred through the discourse of the subjects present in the research, through a qualitative and descriptive approach. Thus, the consequences indicate that there are factors that originated the territorialization of this social group in the territory, as well as the absence of state welfare, even with the participation of solidarity partners. Thus, it is intended that the homeless can receive dignified assistance in public agencies, as well as be recognized as subjects and citizens, becoming included in society.
