Resumen:
The playfulness is seen in this monograph as an essential educational resource for the childhood development, since dynamic activities, toys and games are present on children’s routine and consequently provide moments of pleasure, freedom and fun. Thus, the playfulness is an important ally to the teaching-learning process on childhood education. The preparation of this monograph is relevant since the teachers can reflect about their practice and then realize the importance of implementing this technique on sudents’ development process through a planned way in order to improve the education. By this way, we estabilished the following research problem: what is the contribution of playfulness to the students’ education processs on childhood education according to the teachers’ conception? In order to reflect about this question, the present study has as general objetive: analyzing the contributions that the playful activities offer to the children’s development when activities like that are applied to the learning process on childhood education; and as specific objectives: identifying the presence of playfulness on school activities of students that belong to childhood education; discussing the contributions that playfulness can offer to the educational process; reflecting the teachers’ views about the playful methodology. This monograph is a qualitative research that had as the data collection instrument a semi-structured interview conducted with six teachers who teach in a municipal daycare center. This work permit us conclude that when playful activities work together with the teaching-learning process the children develop as a whole: cognitive, affective, motor and socially.
