Abstract:
The discussion we are discussing in the course of our work is intended to bring understanding about human rights, as well as to emphasize its importance and to remain mainstreamed in education. The idea of discussing this topic in more depth is born of the misunderstandings that are presented by the social environment, they also arise from the discussions on the subject in the PET Group (Tutorial Education Program) of the CDSA PET Group Public Policy and Citizenship, Project of which I am a member. In this sense, the work entitled EDUCATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS: The case of the Juarez Maracajá field school, based on the national human rights education plan (PNEDH), aims to study how the work of the Human rights in the classroom. How do teachers get information on the subject? What are the teachers' knowledge and practices on the subject? Whereas, this theme according to the World Program for Human Rights Education is a theme that must permeate the pedagogical practice of teachers in the classroom. Our research is qualitative and descriptive in nature, it is still characterized as a case study, as we verify if we were discussing Human Rights and related topics. This work is structured in what section or chapters. At first, a bibliographical research of books and articles was carried out, as well as in sites of the following subjects: Human Rights, and Education in Human Rights. In the second moment the data collection instruments were applied, this is the questionnaire in the field of research, through the technique of application of questionnaires, was achieving the results described here. With the data collected we conclude that the school works very timidly to the point of not being noticed, it became evident the need to move in the direction of a wide discussion with the school community about human rights.
