This scientific production titled „Diagnosis of computer labs and computer use, such as educational support tool: the context of schools field in Cariri‟. Which aimed to identify and carry out a diagnosis of computer labs in schools field in Cariri Paraibano, through the teachers of the schools surveyed on the use of computerized information technology, in planning their disciplines? Starting from systematic research question of knowing, as the educational use of computers, computer as a support tool in Public Schools populacionalmente peasant characteristics, could contribute pedagogically, with the public quality of education in Cariri? It is organized in five moments, containing three sections. Possessing relevant qualitative, social and political character, especially for regional public education Cariri. The results presented are from the respective inferences theoretical and analytical reflective ascertained the facts on the successes and challenges covered by the data collection. Infused on validated theoretical knowledge, founded (Veiga (2015) with the concepts of rural and urban; Pierry Lèvy (1993) with the mechanical intelligence technologies; Libâneo (2009) and Miranda (2012) with the formation of virtual educators; Tajra (2008) and Cox (2008) with information technology in school education and pedagogical tools) that related to the subject discussed, it was necessary to go into the field. Apply questionnaires with three educational institutions teachers in three municipalities located in the Western and Eastern Cariri of Paraíba (São João do Cariri, Serra Branca and Sumé). With the study found that, overall, schools also indispunham favorable conditions, or basic, for the proper functioning, and withdrawing most out, the equipment available, from the public purse, for school educational purposes. This is essential because, at present, does not know how to make use due, computer interconnects to technological devices, can be a serious social problem of educational nature. And in education, this challenging bottleneck is no different and cannot be neglected, especially for schools field. For the didactic use of these pedagogical means of support it has been hindered by factors impeding conditioners. The computer environments and computers available in these school spaces are: non-existent (in the case of laboratories); or bad (in the case of the machines become obsolete and unused). Thus, it is considered that one of the main problems identified was the lack of employees (accounting, technical, teaching) trained to meet the demands; overcoming (obsolete) equipment and lack of funds for maintenance; among others. So it could be said that problems directly affect the quality of education, not as something redemptive, but as a teaching supplement to support teaching and learning would help, if present. Knowledge were produced for the educational use of computers and their computer environments existing in Cariri schools, and which are almost always out of favor, depending on the disordered conditions. The application of public policies designed and implemented in the current education system in the context of Computer Education.
