The study seeks to clarify how developed affection in the teacher-student relationship can influence the teaching-learning process. This relationship has been studied and has been highlighted as an integrating element in the educational development of students. We understand the fundamental importance of teacher-student relationship to the success of their learning, highlighting in this process the role of the teacher, his personal and professional interest in the development of their students. The relationship between the teacher and the student should be guided by respect, solidarity and affection. So, with these elements in this relationship, developing, beyond cognition, human, interpersonal relationships and affection, learning can flow more easily. The school is fruitful in the construction of affectivity, in being so, it is necessary to work beyond the content. The interaction established between these two important elements is paramount to the development of the student, from the perspective that it is aroused the wonder, desire to learn. It is evident therefore, the importance of teachers develop their practical work and affectivity, interpersonal and human relations, combined with cognition can be taken as allies of the teaching-learning process. For realization of this research were used as data collection instrument, the questionnaire and the observation in the classroom. The preparation of this work is based on a brief review of some theoretical investigating the importance of affectivity in the teaching-learning process, as follows: Fernandez (1991), Almeida (1999), Freire (1996), Leite (2002), Arantes (2002, 2003), Antunes (2006), Almeida, Mahoney (2007), Cunha (2008), Saltini (2008), among others.
