Abstract:
The peculiarities of everyday life has required increasingly that technology is used in all aspects of human life. Thus, the sociology of education in Brazil is not far from this premise. Thus, the Information and Communication Technologies has been an important pedagogical tool in education. Therefore, this present study aimed to analyze the use of technological resources in the classroom, and assess if it happens a greater participation of students in sociology class when teachers make use of this feature. This research is descriptive with qualitative approach and using questionnaire technique applied among 46 students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd years of regular high school, and interview technique applied to two ministering teachers of sociology discipline of a public school in the city of Coxixola -PB. Theoretically this research is supported in Kenski ideas (2005) and Barbosa (2010) dealing with the Information and Communication Technologies in Education. And Costa (2005) and Barbosa (2012) about the emergence of sociology in Brazil. It is intended from this answer, what challenges experienced by high school sociology teachers to use information and communication technologies, as also occurs motivation in students in class.
