Resumen:
Urban sustainability is one of the focuses of sustainable development today, given the large contingent of urban population. In this sense, the city acts as focal point in the definition of this development. Therefore, the use of urban sustainability indicators acts as an instrument of support and support in decisions that guarantee the municipality a fair and inclusive social development. This study aims to analyze the Urban Sustainability of the City of Massaranduba-PB, based on the model proposed by Martins, based on its composition, the use of documentary and bibliographical research, as well as on-site verification of urban problems. From the point of view of its nature it is characterized as applied research, since it aims to generate knowledge for practical application directed to the solution of specific problems. As for its approach, we have a qualitative-quantitative research, which aims to elaborate a descriptive research. From the evaluation and measurement of the urban indicators of the city of Massaranduba, the negative impacts of the inefficient policies of the municipality were verified, reinforcing the need for changes to guarantee a better quality of life for its population and the planet. This need for change was exposed by the city's classification as potentially unsustainable through the model proposed by Martins, a fact that ensures that the city can not sustainably balance most of its indicators
