Abstract:
Psychological harassment becomes increasingly common in the organizational scope because
of the inconstancy of the labor market. Psychological harassment is characterized by a
relationship where someone often causes constraining situations, persecution and humiliation
to someone else. This phenomenon causes damage not only to the people who suffer, but also
to the company or institution involved. This study addresses a survey about the perception
and the practice of diagnosis, prevention, and intervention of bullying at the Federal
University of Campina Grande, specifically in the Humanities Center. It was used an
exploratory and descriptive research through a questionnaire with quantitative and qualitative
approach for the technical and administrative workers. The data was analyzed using
descriptive statistics through the median and mode. The results found showed that there is a
knowledge from the participants on what is psychological harassment, and that in their
conception there are some gaps regarding the practices used for perception, action to prevent
and stop the harassment. Among the opinions on the questionnaires there are suggestions to
awareness and capacitate the professionals, and to create a sector for monitoring the cases that
happen. Therefore, it was seen a deficiency regarding the practices that are directly linked to
combat psychological harassment.
