Resumen:
Organizational learning has gained more and more notoriety and has become a very important
competitive differential for organizations that seek to excel in their area of expertise. One of
the difficulties faced in this learning process is the relationship with the different generations
working in the market. The studies involving organizational learning along with the question
of the generations are still very scarce, so this research aimed at analyzing the organizational
learning in the perception of the different generations of employees of a contractor in the
electric sector, identifying characteristics of found generations, learning from the perspective
of the generations and learning preference of the generations. Through a quantitative
approach, and a descriptive character was carried out a case study in a contractor of the
electrical sector of the city of Campina Grande - PB. For the research, a questionnaire adapted
from Mcdowell (2010, apud Collistochi et al. 2012) was used, in its structure divided into
respondents profile and affirmations about organizational, group and individual learning,
according to their dimensions of commitment to learning , shared vision and open mentality
and learning preferences of these generations. The data were analyzed with the aid of basic
statistics and excel to calculate the percentage of agreement for each statement. It was
identified that in the organization there are three generations, the baby boomers to X and Y
and that they do not have many perceptions of each other in relation to the learning process in
their individual, group and organizational levels, and likewise presented few divergences
between each other in relation to the learning preferences in the organization. It can also be
seen that the generational employees value and prefer team activities that include a more
effective interaction among all.
