Abstract:
Society demands cause companies to produce goods to meet the needs of its consumers quickly
and with lower cost. Gradually, consumer goods have been produced with lower life cycles in
order to create new consumption, resulting in a greater waste of goods and products. It arises,
then, the need to develop ways of treating the environment problems causes by goods waste.
One of these tools is the Reverse Logistics, which has as its aim the revaluation of goods that
would be discarded by society. One sort of inadequately discarded residue, discarded in great
amounts, is the residue of electro-electronic equipments (REEE). Thus, this paper aimed at
verify the structure and the way of functioning of permanent posts of collections and/or
treatment of electro-electronic equipment (REEE) waste installed in Campina Grande city -
PB. For this, two collection posts were studied in order to describe all the physical flow, since
the entrance to the recuperation ways identified. The main conclusions after the qualitative data
analysis is the following: the two collection posts of REEE develop the activities of reverse
logistic through dismantling and remanufacturing, creating social, academic, and
environmental benefits as well as to the institutions and to the local community and the
environment.
