Resumo:
This research aims to investigate the professional qualification of the teachers from Youth and
Adult Education (YAE) in the solidarity economy perspective besides to find out to what
extent the teachers has the knowledge about solidarity economy. This work still aims to
analyze the formation education and pedagogical practice of the teacher in the view of
solidarity economy. For that the exploratory research with qualitative approach was chosen
being the sample constituted of six participants who teach in classes from YAE of a public
middle and high school. For this purpose a questionnaire containing twelve questions divided
into two thematic blocks was used as a data collection instrument. From obtained data in the
research it is possible to demonstrate that the teachers interviewed did not have any type of
continuing education to teach in the classes from YAE and only three of the six interviewees
knowed what solidarity economy is. Thus the lack of training in the area makes it difficult for
these teachers to develop activities with these students that aim at an emancipatory practice
focused on the solidarity economy and job market.
