Resumen:
Rural community associations are created with purpose of integrating actions of members in order to improve productive process and for community to which they belong. Each community has its own culture and structure. This work aimed to outline socioeconomic profile of members of Association of Rural Communities Development (ACAFESV), from Feijão community, in Municipality of Serra Branca - PB. The research addressed Solidarity Economy issue as a development tool. The strategy of research employed was bibliographical survey and data collection, through interviews with associates. Based on the analysis of results, it was concluded that the organizational reality of rural community association, in Feijão Farm, is linked to relations and coexistence in community and the main source of funds comes from members themselves. It was identified that association develops Solidarity Economy practices, since they work for benefit of all, sharing income obtained with sale of its products to invest in the association itself.
