Résumé:
The present work, discusses the subject of proficiency in reading and writing skills among the students of PROEJA of the Municipal School of Early Childhood Education and Fundamental Rodolfo Santa Cruz, located in the municipality of Sumé. Within this context, this study has as a general objective to analyze what are the difficulties that students of PROEJA, 3rd and 4th grade classes feel about reading and writing learning. As a guiding question in this study, we ask the following question: How does the teacher of the analyzed class use effective methods to improve reading and writing learning with these students ?, Methodologically, the present study is configured as a case study, bibliographic, descriptive, qualitative And with predominant case study characteristics. As a result it can be pointed out that there is an admirable effort on the part of the educator to plan activities related to the learners' experiences, taking into account their previous knowledge, from there to the apprehension of other knowledge. There is also considerable participation of learners in this process, and this motivation positively contributes to teaching and learning. Thus, it was also clear that there is a lack of greater incentives and support from the coordination of this program, in order to guide the educator, to collaborate with didactic materials, since the educator because she has little teaching experience still needs a technical and pedagogical look.
