Resumo:
This work refers the study of the supply of solar energy to the definition of a photovoltaic array to the appropriate drive of a system of desalination by reverse osmosis. For a proper sizing of the photovoltaic array, the system of operating desalination was evaluated with varying availability of power, and found your profile operating from the behavior of parameters: the permeate flow, recovery of the system and electrical conductivity of the permeate. The evaluation of the system allows to characterize the effect of the availability of electric power and pressure of operation of the system in the quantity and quality of drinking water produced. To study the potential of solar energy was used solar radiation data from the period of January/2007 the December/2008. For the evaluation of desalination system was used as the feed water solution of sodium chloride of 2.000 mg/L for operation in varying levels of power (300 – 700 W) and pressure (5 – 15 kgf/cm2).
