In this work we present data collected in interviews conducted, analyzing the evaluation of government programs in the development of family agriculture in the communities of the municipality of Cajazeirinhas - PB. Data collection was performed using a questionnaire with farmers in the municipality. In order to observe the needs and difficulties encountered in the production and harvesting process in the rural context of these farmers, the objective is to characterize the rural worker who participates in family farming. To know who this public is, and to whom this rural work is destined, analyzing the importance of the programs of foment to familiar agriculture, in the socioeconomic and environmental scope in the communities assisted by the public policies in the municipality. Specifying the performance and possible failures of public policies in the development of family agriculture, evaluating the influence of public policies in reducing rural exodus, observing the rural communities working with family agriculture and knowing the socioeconomic and environmental benefits in the communities in the aforementioned municipality. With this research it can also be observed whether the workers participating in family agriculture are framed in the potentially sustainable scale, that is, if these farmers, in their daily production, respect the principles of sustainability towards the environment.
