The phenomenon of political participation, especially among young people, is something old in Brazilian society. Nonetheless, of little occurrence or visibility. Therefore, this work intends to reflect on this phenomenon specifically through the performance and youth participation in the Student Guild at the Senator José Gaudêncio High School, located at Serra Branca County - PB. This work is justified by the understanding that, since the student is one of the main protagonists of the school community, it is fundamental to carry out pedagogical actions both inside and outside the school. Consequently, we have the Student Guild, in Serra Branca, state of Paraíba, a representative instace of the student body of the school, as a possible instrument of reflection and action of the students against the problems that surround them. Besides pointing out the relevance of a political representation in the school context; To identify the social representation of the students, specifically of the Medium Course, on the influence of the Student Guild in the school debates; To point out how the Gremists stand in front of the students' struggles to improve teaching, to put into practice their opinions and ideas aimed to a better space of coexistence and participation; To check the contribution of the Student Group to the participative and citizen formation ; In this way, this work is characterized as a descriptive type research, with a qualitative approach, using a questionnaire technique for data collection. As results we can indicate that student representativeness does not only consist of implementing political decisions already taken by superiors, but that in practice produces decisions related to the school itself and the integration among students, management and teachers as a whole thing, corroborating the formation of critical citizens and politically active in their community, city and country.
