Economic factors, development and competition have made small businesses seek management tools and business improvement, previously used only, in large companies. These tools are used to achieve waste reduction, and one of the main ways is to reduce waste in the raw material stock. It is in this sense that we will seek to propose improvements for the reduction of waste in the Warehousing sector of a furniture company, located in the city of Santa Rita, metropolitan region of the capital of Paraíba. For this, first was verified the existence of wastes, through analysis of monthly worksheets of purchase and consumption of raw materials passed through the industry. Subsequently, losses and critical points where they occur in the raw material stock were identified through visual diagnosis and quantification of data. In order to identify which products have a greater financial representativeness in the stock, we used the ABC Curve. The results showed that there was a reduction in inventory levels, implementation of new procedures to control inventory and better use of the physical space through the 5S Program.
