Resumo:
The project management refers to the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to the activities of the project in order to meet their requirements, and is performed with the use of groups of processes, such as start, plan, implement, monitor and terminate. The main advantage of project management is that it is not restricted to gigantic projects, of high complexity and costs. It can be applied in joint ventures of any complexity, budget and size, in any line of business. Based on this, the present work aimed to gather a set of processes removed from the guide to good practice PMBOK- 4th edition, and the appropriate support tools for the management of projects with the aim of implementing them in the Department of Research and Development of Entrepreneurial Dimarzo, a small company that deals among other things with consultancy in business, and observe the impact that this management would cause in the realization of a diagnosis of enterprise. At the end of the study, it was found that the project management methodology used has met the expectations and is suitable to be effectively implemented in the object of study in view of the benefits. However, some suggestions were presented to be incremented in future projects and thus obtain gradually increasingly satisfactory results. For companies able to understand the importance of a standard methodology for project management, the benefits are numerous.
