Abstract

A business concern with the health and safety of workers is being increased today. One of the main factors are the laws and regulations that are being applied in all kinds of activities and increasingly specific to each area, forcing organizations of any branch suited so that they do not suffer penalties or damages for non-compliance, such as labor fines, removal of employees from accidents and others that have a direct impact on company profits. In the current context, where competition between companies is central to its success, the issue is of vital importance not only for organizations but also for machinery and equipment suppliers, taking into account that manufacturers offering products within the required specifications in standards, since competitiveness will gain an advantage over competitors who fail in this regard. This analysis initially consisted of bibliographic research, with collection of direct documentation of data, and is also a data collection survey of case study characteristics. This paper presents the results of analyzes performed on machines used in the construction of the shopping mall of Sumé, Paraiba Cariri, analysis this carried out in accordance with the Regulatory Standard 12, which discusses labor safety requirements in machinery and equipment, is she makes it clear how the machines must comply to ensure the safety of its members.
