Abstract:
It analyzes an employee’s workstation of a bakery in the Santa Lucia district in the municipality of Serra Branca in the west region of Cariri in Paraíba. To this end, from the perspective of ergonomics and its subarea occupational biomechanics, it studies through OWAS method diagnosis during routine, problems in the employee's posture. It also analyzes the ergonomic posture of the company's employee in their work activity by checking through the both hands chart the manual process of mixing the batter into the first solution. The change in the process will significantly improve all aspects with a reduction of 22.2% of the work done by the employee's right hand, benefiting the injured shoulder and consequently obtaining a decrease of 53.3% of the left-hand activities. This research suggests the introduction of new machinery in the second solution in the amount of R$ 3,000.00 with expected investment return for the seventh month after the acquisition. It is recommended that after the implementation of these changes to follow the performance improvement and the baker’s posture, profit increase and increase business productivity.
