Resumen:
This paper was made at Padre Zuzinha Foundation, located in the city of Santa Cruz do Capibaribe-PE and tried to show the use of assessment impact program aimed at the elderly in an institution of the Third Sector. For that, we performed an exploratory and descriptive, aiming to identify what impacts the Padre Zuzinha Foundation causes in the quality of life of older people who are supported for the foundation. Data were collected from a case study by conducting semi-structured interviews applied to a sample of 50% of the women assisted by institution and the data were evaluated by qualitative and quantitative approach. The analysis of indicators such as emotional well-being and psychological and physical health awareness regarding prevention of diseases, revealed the occurrence of positive changes in quality of life of respondents, especially regarding the emotional well-being and psychological. However, noted the difficulty in determining whether some of these observed changes in quality of life of elderly women were assisted by actions of the Foundation or by other means, since 51% of the respondents also participated in similar programs offered by other institutions, which preclude the assignment of these impacts only the performance of the Padre Zuzinha Foundation. These implications suggest spaces for new studies that provide a deeper understanding of the issue through better techniques for allocating and checking cross-referenced.
