This s
tudy highlights the cooperative/ associated labor and the emergence of non sc hool
education in the Assentamento Fazenda Mata em Amparo/ PB. It is intended, therefore, to
in vestigate: how cooperative work/ associate become a promotional mechanism of non school
education in the field of study? From this perspective, it has as main objective to understand
the social economy and sustainable development as educational forms in that settlement. Th e
research is characterized as a case study, with descriptive methodology with a qualitative
approach and literature, with annotations in the researcher's field diary. At first, a literature
review wa s undertaken on the cooperative/ social economy and assoc iated production, rural
social movements and germination of training processes by way of these factors. The
collective organization of comm unity studied, The Associação dos ProdutoresRurais do
SítioCaiçara , is a mechanism that strengthens the development of collective work, the critical
eye of the subjects on the concrete context and participatory and democ ratic spirit through
assemblies/ meetings organized by the institution These factors fertilize the occurrence of
pedagogical mediations in the developmen t of activities related to that production. This
research has detected signs of economic solidarity in the investigated field, more precisely in
the associated work through the association's constitution; in cooperative activities such as
fish farming and palm oil plantations and atriplex (herb salt); in community work, such as the
freshwater production; and producing in harmony with the environment, the existence of
principles of sustainable development. It is concluded that the formation of the study grou p
can be seen as a way to promote social inclusion and favor the occurrence of acts educational
and learning situations.
