Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to discuss and investigate how it is seen and learned the contents in textbooks, in particular talk of the Northeast region, the way it is presented in the books and in the classroom. Making an analysis in textbooks of sociology adopted by the MEC and distributed in schools, to achieve our goal we will consider two textbooks: (from: Nelson Dacio Tomazi, 2010) and "Modern Times, Sociology of Time" (from: Helena Maria Bomeny Garchet & Stella Bianca Pinheiro de Medeiros Freire, 2010). With this design seek to understand and discuss how the content on the Northeast region is presented in such works. We know that the book itself does not have all necessary information to the training of students as well as teachers aid. But it is an important complement in learning relations becoming key to knowledge, however its discussion conditions the school educational practices. But use these teaching resources to understand its contribution to sociology, however, social relations making a dialogue with several authors is presented as the Northeast to systematize as this constitutes the Sociology. In this work, which makes it more important and fundamental is to analyze how the Northeast is treated in school Sociology and how is the relationship with these authors. After analysis in textbooks mentioned, our intention is to contribute to our thinking in educational practices, seeking work in the social formation of the individual. However the textbook, knowledge and formal education are not completely isolated from the political and cultural context of social relations of domination, become-instruments that represent the cultural universe through political and cultural practices.
