Resumo:
The system of integrated and sustainable agro-ecological production, it can be practiced by producers who wish to have a healthy production and that does not harm the environment. This work it is a field research about evaluation of the profile of the participating producers of the System PAIS in the city of Sumé Paraíba. Through study of the area, application questions for farmers, visits to unit of PAIS, and analysis of data was verified that most participants are men, with an average age between 29 and 68 years, predominantly education is the elementary school, the drought period made with that some producers only produced for their own consumption, and some had to stop with their production, but more than 60% of producers are producing commercially, many of these can produce vegetables, chicken and eggs, the chicken production to achieve minimum time of sale at the third month, with price ranging from 10,00 to 40,00 reals, all producers sell their products in fairs and about 50% of them even sell all their production. We conclude that all producers work in a sustainable and agroecological way, thus preserving the environment and the health of it.
