Resumo:
This work aimed to study the perception of family members and caregivers of mental health service users Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS) New Directions Station of Sumé -PB, about the activities of Sumé with Flowers Project, developed in the Seedling Nursery from The Sustainable Development of Semi-Arid Center (UFCG Campus Sumé). The study population is composed by 14 families who have agreed to participate in the study, whose instrument was a semi-structured questionnaire. The family members said there are clear results about the users satisfaction in participating on the Project actions, which make them feel useful not only about themselves, but in their families and society . They still argue that it has been possible to notice changes in their outlook on life, comparing their existence before and after Sumé with Flowers Project, demonstrating that, this type of Occupational Therapy has provided to CAPS users a life expectancy and social transformation to overcome obstacles caused by the disease which afflict them, inserting in the Agroecology principles, which strives for social inclusion of different groups and segments of society, giving visibility to the renewal process and social transformation.
