Resumo:
Due the constant changes occurring in the business scenario, it is noticed the challenge of organizing and directing a company, which makes necessary to understand the organizational determinants that are imperative for any institute, especially for PME [Small and Medium Business]. Further, this research addressed to analyze the organizational determinants most developed in PME [Small and Medium Business] management in the Outfits Park Fashion Center in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Pernambuco. The methodology comprises a field survey with descriptive and exploratory approach. Data collection was made by a structured questionnaire, which was adapted from a model developed by the British Institute of Management (COLOSSI; DUARTE, 2000), applied with owners and managers of companies, in which consisted of seven organizational determinants used to evaluate the success and failure factors of PME [Small and Medium Business], which are: human resources, production, administrative structure, fiscal and legal aspects, financial aspects, marketing and growth planning. Each of the determinants was divided into two blocks, one at the time of PME [Small and Medium Business] implantation and other at the company already established currently, and the results grouped in tables. Regarding the results, it was observed that the organizational determinant analyzed showed positively in most cases, once it was confirmed significance by the companies surveyed, dwindling only in case of greater investment in employees training. Hence, the vast majority of companies have similar chances of success, which make them to use these determinants in the right manner, differing from their competitors and investing more in employees’ training because these professionals need to be capable to excel and ensure the best for their customers.
