Resumo:
The current job market is characterized by a wide variety of professionals interacting in the
organizational context in which each contributes his skills to the achievement of established
goals. This is a market composed of a multigenerational mix of professionals from different
age groups and their specifications define the professional profile and how each one uses its
competences. This study was conducted at the branches of Caixa Econômica Federal in
Campina Grande - PB, with the participation of all occupants of management positions. The
research sought to examine how the managerial competencies are distributed between the
various generations of professionals who work at the bank searched. To that end, we
conducted an descriptive study, data were collected from a questionnaire and analyzed
quantitatively. The results revealed a greater participation of the baby boomers in positions of
management of the company, followed by members of Generation X and Generation Y. It
was also possible to establish the prevalence of skills such as setting goals and objectives and
completion of planning and organization to reach them in the baby boomers and generation X,
while the administration of conflict and the large number of distinct processes distinguished
himself in Generations X and Y.
