Abstract:
At the same time that technologies modify the reality of the current companies, expanding their limits and opening new markets, there's a realization that for any company to achieve efficiency in the distribution of its products and services it is needed that an interactive management of the flux of materials and information exists and, in turn, between the other departments of the company. Having as reference the beverage sector in Paraíba, a market that, with an increasing development, there is a need for a well developed and managed logistic system to be able to attend to the great volume requested and the attended geographic area. At this present study, the object of study is the logistic system of a great national company of beverage that attends to the local market by a distribution center, the 'CDD Campina Grande'. Due to its importance in the distribution of the company's products, the focus of this research was to describe how the logistic activities from the beverage distribution center for the attendance of the market of Campina Grande work, using as support the approach of SINCHI (2003) and the approach of LEITE (2003) about reverse logistic. Such an objective reveals the exploratory character of the research and its delimitation as a case study. Based on a research guide built for this end, data that enabled the analysis of this logistic system operation was collected. The main formed conclusions refer to the logistic cycles, where the CDD develops distribution activities with the objective of creating value for the client, besides that, about the stage of development of IT, it is at the third stage, being considered an integrated company with other areas. Lastly, the CDD develops some reverse logistic activities, in aggregation with the headquarters, however, it could develop parallel activities, with the objective of achieving a strategic vision.
