Résumé:
The social responsibility in Brazil is a theme relatively new, but of great relevance in
the current business administration due to the changes of behavior in the systems
economical, social, political, environmental, of the speed of the communication,
among others. The classic point of view affirms that the maximization of the profits
would be the social contribution of the companies to the society, in compensation,
the contemporary point of view says that the company should seek the good of the
society. These two point of view are opposed and complemental at the same time.
Nowadays, the company that doesn't practice RSE doesn't stand out among the
others that already has these practices inserted in culture. With the speed of the
information RSE serves every day more as referencial for customers and investors,
because it works as a warranty of a good investment or still of being buying to a
company that values the society and it cares for her. This study is a research of the
qualitative type, accomplished through semi-structured interview. It is characterized
as explanatory and it is a case study and had for objective to identify, among the
actions of social responsibility accomplished by SESI, the most important action in
return terms for studied company. It is concluded starting from that interview, that this
action is the Global Action, that the public benefitted by her, in some way it is
limitante, and that it is an action that could have the including function. We also
observed that SESI is inserted in the contemporary approach of RSE.
