Abstract:
The increasing concern with the environmental issues has leaded companies seeking
to minimize the impact of their activities through the environmentally friendly practices, as a
way to follow judicial laws and obtain a sustainable commercial advantage. Arise, day after
day, new techniques that allow the incorporation of environmental considerations in business
strategies of organizations, and among them the ecodesign tool, which aims to eliminate or
minimize the environmental impacts throughout the manufacturing process of the products. In
this sense, the purpose of the present work is to identify the aspects of ecodesign considered
when projecting a condominium sustainable Residencial Vila Verde in the city of Campina
Grande – PB. Regarding methodology, this study has both exploratory and descriptive nature,
with a qualitative approach analysis, which data were collected by a questionnaire applied to
the responsible for developing project. The results showed that the ecodesign strategies are
very relevant to the project design, but its implementation occurs at a lower level, where
almost half of the strategies were evaluated with little or no applicability to the project. Still, it
appears that there is a significant incorporation of environmental variables in Vila Verde,
making it possible to characterize it as a project designed within the concept of ecodesign and
that, lie in the design phase to be implemented, is still possible on this evaluation, carrying out
some adjustments to make the proposal more adherent to the ecodesign strategies and thus
cause the least environmental impact.
