The bullying occurred in the labor relations is the conduct that comes to embarrass,
intimidate, injure or humiliate the victim where his exercise his profession. This
research aims to study the bullying in the workplace and its understanding by the
employees of the Bank of Brazil in the city of Areia - PB. This research is important
because the bullying occurs frequently, however, is muted by the hierarchical
structure of work and the need of the employee's position for their livelihood. Thus,
research has shown social relevance, because it is a topic of interest of all the
society and about the academic aspect aims to contribute to scientific knowledge
about the subject. About methodology, this research is classified as descriptive (in
relation to their purposes), a survey was made (in relation to its object), your sample
is not probabilistic type of accessibility, the interviewees were employees of a bank in
Areia city, the data were collected through the use of questionnaires and were
correlated to the problems mentioned in the theoretical part of the research about the
difficulty to identify, prevent and redress the victim. Thus, we conclude that although
the company has rules against that aim to curb bullying, there is not from thr
management and human resources departments a door for the workers discuss
about the issue and report the abuse. As well, the lack of knowledge about the
breadth of material prejudice to the protection of employees. Bullying has
consequences for the agent (which is required to indemnify the victim) for the victim
(who suffers from physical and psychological problems from this abuse) and
throughout the corporate climate, about a low productivity, absenteeism and other
things that damage the business activities. Thus, it is a problem that brings negative
results for all involved, it is essential that companies pay attention to these issues
and to enforce the text of its rules, allowing effectively to combat bullying in their
organizational structures.
