This work analyzed the public policy, ATER Pública (Technical Assistance and Public Rural Extension) in the municipality of Pararí - PB, considering the context in which they are inserted, the alternatives available for family farming, and their efforts to achieve economic sustainability. Aiming to analyze the policies Technical Assistance and Public Rural Extension in the municipality, from 2010 to 2013. For the field research was made questionnaires applied to 20 farmers domiciled in rural Pararí, distributed randomly according to respondents' willingness to participate, whereby each respondent answered questions ranging from general information to infrastructure information and property production systems, responses were analyzed and distributed by percentages. However, the actions of the public ATER for family farming in Pararí, as well as in many other municipalities in the other regions of the country are seeking an integration between growth and development, which will enable the economic and social viability of this class.
