The teenage pregnancy has become a public health problem, in which fertility rates only increase, which may cause several changes in adolescent life. Prenatal consultation conducted by the nurse has an extremely important role, it has been conducted an integral and qualified service to pregnant teenagers, working as health promotion and especially stimulating family participation in the process. This study aimed to: investigate the quality of care provided by nurses in prenatal of the adolescents, characterize the socioeconomic and pregnancy profile of the patients, analyze health promotion offered by the nurse in the prenatal consultations with adolescents and to verify the knowledge of of adolescents about a qualified prenatal care. This is a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Attended 10 pregnant adolescents who received prenatal care in three Family Health Centers (known in Brazil by the Portuguese acronym UBSF, specifically in the case UBSF São José/PAPS; UBSF Sol Nascente e UBSF Mutirão) located in the north of the city of Cajazeiras, Paraíba, Brazil. In the collect of the data, we used a semi-structured interview guide composed by questions that attended the proposed objectives. The data were organized according to Bardin content analysis technique and analyzed by relevant literature. The research followed the 466/12 Resolution of the National Health Council in Brazil, which deals with research developed on human beings. Upon the advice of the Ethics Committee nº. 879.688. As for the results of this research, it was verified that the adolescents had predominant age range of 17 years (40%), most were married (90%), having as level of education not finished elementary school (70%), living with a monthly income of 1 Brazilian minimum wage (70%) and they have various occupations such as: housewife, student, waitress and others. The following obstetric data were verified: 80% were first pregnancy and 20% were pregnant for the second time. Five pregnant young girls were in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. It was verified that in the opinion of pregnant girls, the nurse consultation in the prenatal was insufficient because they have received a little or no guidance. During prenatal consultations, the transferred information is extremely important, because clarify the doubts of adolescents and strengthen the bond of trust between the professional and the pregnant girl. It is necessary, empower nurses to improve the assistance provided to pregnant teenagers.
