Résumé:
Throughout the history of human evolution, we see the man's relationship to work. And
this activity practiced by the individual is present in your life since the dawn of
civilization, man has evolved and activities related to job changes up to the present day.
These changes have been demanding more work that needs to multitask efficiently, and
it can overwhelm more and more people in relation to their productive and psychological
ability to live constantly under pressure and stress. Just like any other profession, teachers
must also perform various other activities to meet the demands that the current position
requires, and this entails the devaluation of the teaching profession accompanied the
expansion of its functions with consequent increase in levels of dissatisfaction with the
work. The Quality of Working Life is a scientific area interested in investigating the
characteristics in the context of work that can be sources of welfare or discomfort. In this
context, this research aims to analyze the Quality of Life at Work in the perception of
teachers, based on the biopsychosocial model, seeking a greater understanding of the
personal state of QVT, understanding the meaning of QVT and health events and diseases
14 teachers of a public school in the city of Campina Grande-PB. Construction of the
Quality of Life at work arises from the moment studying the individual as a whole, this
approach is known as the biopsychosocial model of QVT, it everyone has psychological,
biological and social potential that addresses both the conditions of life at work. We chose
to use the BPSO-96 questionnaire Limongi-França author. We conclude that all aspects
contained in the biopsychosocial model are evaluated in an unsatisfactory manner by
teachers. Individuals surveyed understand the importance of the actions of QVT because
they need a lot of them in the workplace, it was noted also a very high number of missed
work because of illness, a problem experienced by Brazilian public schools that need to
be solved
