Resumen:
Studies on the subject have shown themselves career of great relevance in the field of People Management, given its complexity and specificities presented. The concept of career leads to various understandings of career paths that the individual travels throughout his life. Identify the perceived success of woman holding management positions and observe possible barriers to their professional growth within organizations has become the object of this study, supported by the theoretical framework proposed by the main authors of this construct. As this survey of a mixed nature, a case study with descriptive analysis with women who exercise executive positions within a higher education institution in the city of Campina Grande - PB. The survey instrument used was the scale of Perceived Career Success, Costa (2010), and the data collected were processed using statistical analysis techniques percentage and average. The results show that the variables with the greatest level of perceived success were Competence, Contribution and Hierarchy, while the variables that showed lower levels were creativity, development and identity, as the barriers to their professional growth, were identified, of familiar chorus, one not prone to the growth of these women, one reading and ineffective system and the lack of time so they can qualify and it climb better positions of your desktop work.
