Abstract:
The present work aims to study the Social Pedagogy and its contribution in the formation and performance of the pedagogue in non - school spaces. The general objective was to analyze the performance of the pedagogue in the Project Peniel of Support to Children and Adolescents (PROPAC) in the city of Sousa-PB. Specific objectives: To characterize the Social Pedagogy; Specify the actions that the pedagogue develops in PROPAC and Find out contributions of the Pedagogy course for the formation and performance of the pedagogue in non-school spaces. As for the methodological route, this was constituted in two stages, namely: bibliographical survey and a field study. The type of research carried out was the participant research. The research was exploratory. Thus, we can see that the results of the research revealed that in the context investigated the pedagogues act as pedagogical coordinators contributing with the organization of the pedagogical work, as it carries out planning, orienting and training the development agents, in the monitoring of activities, in the assessments of children's activities and development, as well as in the provision of pedagogical and didactic resources, further assisting in administrative decision-making. It is proved that the contribution of Social Pedagogy as a science that offers theoretical and methodological bases for the formation and actuation of the social pedagogue, insofar as it allows to understand the reality by intervening in an intentional way, aiming at the transformation in the life of the individual and in society. Thus, the knowledge of this professional seeks to guarantee the achievement of the objectives of the Project Peniel of Support to Children and Adolescents (PROPAC).
