Resumen:
This study aims to analyze the possibilities and challenges in the process understood as teaching and learning from the perspectives of teachers from the Youth and Adult Education. The look at the history of the Youth and Adult Education is made to understand the historical / social context, the moments experienced by this type of education. The studies developed in the theories of learning and education thinkers point contributions to pedagogical practice, even identifying some challenges to the teaching of the Youth and Adult Education. The methodology involved the literature from the theoretical concepts of authors and field research was given to teachers who work in the first segment of the Youth and Adult Education three schools of the Municipal Cajazeiras Teaching, high backlands of Paraiba . The results from the interviews indicated that there are prospects teachers an understanding about the contributions of the theoretical to the pedagogical practices in the teaching of Youth and Adult Education, it was found that more effectively through the methods that are used by teachers, the possibilities there are to be worked in the context of youth and adults, and finally, identifying some of the challenges they face, old and new challenges that become larger in the youth segment and adults they are having perhaps the last opportunity to study.
