Resumo:
This paper aims to present the history of peasant leagues in the Northeast , especially the Peasant League City Thatcham Paraíba ; analyze the sociology textbooks adopted by the MEC : Sociology for High School Tamazi Nelson (2007 ) and Modern Times Times of Sociology (2010 ) the authors Helena Bomeny , Bianca Freire Medeiros , Julia and Rachel O'Donnell Emerique ; and thus understand how the theme of Social Movements are being worked on in high school . Through analysis of material relating to the early years of the appearance of the Peasant Leagues , such as books , articles , newspapers , describing the importance of the history of Teixeira and their struggle for better living conditions and rights for peasants . The analysis of this paper is a descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach to technical literature and documentary research . We conclude that the contribution of the Peasant Leagues for Social Movements was something extremely important , because what you hear on agrarian reform was through the struggles and actions of the Peasant Leagues.
