Abstract:
The study about methods and techniques of a research from didactic manuals has a great relevance, since the research can collaborate to the rupture of the limitations that hamper the students‟ critical thinking development. Facing this situation, this monograph presented, it sought identify if there is in the Sociology didactic books, a discussion about the methods and techniques of Social Science Research, in other words, if the books present a preponderance to a Scientific Sociology Teach. The data collect from this research happened in four books: Sociology to the High School by Nelson Dacio Tomazi (2007); Modern Times, Sociology Times by Helena Bomeny e Bianca Freire-Medeiros, (2010); Sociology to the High School by José Rodorval Ramalho (2012), Sociology to the High School: Introduction to a Society Science by Maria Cristina Castilho Costa (2005). The present study is a descriptive research with a qualitative broaching, trough of documental research technique and utilization of the content analyze method. The theoretical contribution from this study anchored in Freitag et al analyses about the public politics of didactic book, at the research held by Meucci and Sarandy about sociology guides and on Basil Bernstein concept (1996) about contextualization and recontextualization, being this theory central to understand how Sociology has been recontextualized in the book. From the data analysis it can be inferred that guides approved at Didactic Book National Program PNLD (2012), in other words, the works from Tomazi and Bomeny and Bianca do not present any chapter about Research methods and techniques on Social Sciences and Ramalho‟s guide (2012) shows a chapter about theories and methods from our scientific field, nevertheless the author does not deepen this theme, once the chapters from this book are small. However, the work from Cristina Costa advances comparing with the others analyzed guides from this monograph, because it is the only book which presents preponderance to a Scientific Sociology teaching, and shows a spotlight for the research methods and techniques.
