Abstract:
This study aims to identify the concepts and elements that characterize rural areas in the teaching of geography and capability of the use of music in the process of teaching and learning in geography lessons in rural schools. In this research the assumption of qualitative research was used by content analysis. Through the songs analyzed, the geography teachers of rural schools will be able to use music in different ways, both its lyrics and its rhythm, to facilitate students' comprehension on topics that address the rural areas in the geographical context. Thus, the music will serve to bring to geography lessons new possibilities and sensations, making them more attractive and easy to assimilate, thus helping in the teaching and learning process in rural schools.
