The study of entrepreneurship and the pursuit of understanding the entrepreneur are not new. Several were the research conducted and none of them showed a consensus about what it is or what characteristics describes a successful entrepreneur. Among the studies conducted about the entrepreneurial characteristics, stands out the psychologist David McClelland, who organized into categories the most common behaviors of successful entrepreneurs. From the importance of entrepreneurs to society and based on the study of McClelland, we sought to develop this research, whose object of study were the students of Management Course of the Federal University of Campina Grande. Within the context of this target audience is Prospect, Junior Enterprise linked to the Campus Administration Course Campina Grande UFCG, which has been operating for 23 years in the consulting market and is part of a movement that has as mission the training through the business experience, entrepreneurs able to transform Brazil. The research, classified as qualitative, quantitative and descriptive, aimed to identify, from a comparative perspective, the profile and the prevailing entrepreneurial characteristics in participants and non-participants of Prospect students. Data were obtained through questionnaires and the results point to a considerable number of students who intend to undertake within the framework of the course, and demonstrate similarities with regard to entrepreneurial behavior characteristics identified in all groups surveyed.
