Abstract:
This article is in a case study conducted in the Municipality of Sumé, State of Paraiba. Its main goal is the analysis of the use by the public administration of the municipality of Sumé on the application of acquisition logistics tools and inventory of basic pharmacy medicines. As for the specific objectives aims to assess the effectiveness of drug purchases in basic pharmacy in the city of Sumé, discuss administrative practices with respect to minimizing financial waste in basic pharmacy of that municipality, see if the supply of medicines to provide back equitably demand, in parallel, see if there is a lack of medicines to the local population. Methodologically this research is descriptive and exploratory. As methods will be used qualitative and quantitative aspects and literature. For sampling definition considered the basic pharmacy employees of the municipality of Sumé as well, the managers of that service. For collection of data, this occurred through interviews and documentary research. Regarding the interviews were conducted with health manager, as well as the basic pharmacy service manager. To document analysis considered the data contained in the record books and information of that health sector systems. In examining data we used the descriptive statistical method. As specific assessment, it was noticed that there is no use of appropriate logistical arrangements to make the purchase and supply of medicines in the public harvest once investigated, which provides a gap between the availability of this kind of investigated products and to popular demand, case that it is very serious because it is fundamental to ongoing drug treatments, which can determine the evolution of harmful symptoms and the thickening of the disease, which can result in the death of the individual.
