Resumo:
Understand the importance of reason and intuition in the decision-making environment
of a company as well as the behavior of their managers is fundamental to this company,
since allows rethink their strategic practices. This study develops in a travel agency and
tourism in the state of Paraiba, which aims to analyze if in environments of uncertainty,
the agency managers make their decisions through reason or intuition. This study is a
descriptive study conducted in the form of a case study in an attempt to characterize the
mode of decision making of managers and their influences in the organizational
environment. Therefore, it was used a quantitative approach to the study problem, by
collecting data from three questionnaires proposed by Guimarães (2005), which
characterize the participants, the environment and the decision-making style. The results
show the managers of this agency with predominantly rational decision profile.
