Résumé:
The work analyze and discuss the Literatura de Cordel, a regional style of literature as a toolsand language in history teaching, exploring its didactic potential, through a proposal of intervention with the construction of pedagogical workshops that value the students autonomy in the construction of their knowledge on contact with artistic language and poetic creation. Literatura de Cordel enables a new way of exposing contents and themes in an interactive and enjoyable way, without deviating from the intentionality of promoting a teaching practice committed to a critical and reflective teaching. The popular narrative and printed poetry, besides being a way of taking the playful to the classroom, promoting experiences that add to the development of the subjects' sensitivity, presents itself as an expression of social life and, thus, enables the contact with other visions of reality. Therefore, its use in the teaching of History constitutes a real possibility of curricular intervention in the improvement of the process of teaching and learning.
