Environmental education aims at raising people’s consciousness of the humankind as part of the environment. It tries to overcome the anthropocentric view that has led mankind to think of itself as the center of all things, thus forgetting the importance of nature. Regulation towards environmental education was established in Brazil on April 27 1999 with the 9795 law – “Lei da Educação Ambiental”. That law says in its second article: “Environmental education is an essential and permanent component of national education, and must be present, articulately, in all levels and modalities of the educational process, both in formal and non-formal manners”. This work aims at getting a view both of the average knowledge level of environmental education and the everyday practice in The present work seeks to obtain a medium profile of the level of the full employees publishes environmental education in the section Humanities Centric" (UFCG) in Campina Grande public institution of teaching. 84 were interviewed (eighty four employees). Breaking of this information, it was preceded to the work of analysis of the most important data, standing out the level of information and knowledge on environmental education and the practices of selective collection, recycling, generation, type, amount and final destination of the generated garbage. Finally, the work presents proposed of actions in the area of the environmental administration, that, if adopted, they will bring positive repercussions in the problem of the administration of the garbage, produced inside of the Campus of UFCG, in Campina Grande.
