Abstract:
Leadership is a topic often studied in different areas because it is assumed that whatever the
type of management, whether private, public or entrepreneurial, this ability by excellence
must be present in order to guide the form of influence, efforts towards the achievement of
common goals. The lack of a visionary leader and adaptable to changes corresponds to the
gap of the modern enterprise, which began to see the woman, the appropriate professional to
meet the market needs current. In this context, enters the market the possibility of female
leadership, still understudied topic in the academic, especially related to the environment of
junior enterprises, focus of this research. Thus, this study aims to analyze the profile of
women's leadership in business federations juniors. The methodological research is
characterized as exploratory and descriptive. It was used the techniques of data collection
review a questionnaire with management of junior enterprises focus of the study. The method
is based on analysis quantitative and qualitative. The results show that the federations have
studied a profile of young female lead, multidisciplinary (mostly Business Administration and
Engineering) and have features such as: ability to motivate and inspire, teamwork, awareness
in the pursuit of goals, ability to manage diversity, flexibility and interpersonal skills,
adaptability in uncertain scenarios and collective concern. Regarding the leadership style
adopted, the studied managers play a leadership style within the liberal-democratic continuum
that may be suiting up the situation exposed. In addition, this adaptation to the reality they
often adjust appropriately, having flexibility in dealing with people and tasks. In general, the
profile of junior female manager is recognized positively.
